Marcus has been a certified fitness professional since January of 2003. Marcus became a personal trainer because he is in constant contact with different people from different walks of life and he loves improving a person's state of mental and physical health. Over the past five years of being a certified personal trainer Marcus has been to continued education seminars in an effort to keep him up to date with the lastest trends and workouts in the fitness industry. He constantly challenges his clients to progress to levels of fitness that they may have thought they would never achieve. His workout regime includes a combination of strength training, resistance training, and core training along with cardiovascular endurance. Marcus believes in the quote "Everybody can improve their physical well being, you just have to have the desire." Certified Personal Trainer Personal Background Marcus is a former two-time NJCAA All American in the 60 meter hurdles and the 110 meter hurdles. He accomplished that in May 2001 as a freshman. He competed for the Garden City Community College Track and Field team. After a two year stay in Kansas he transferred to the University of North Texas and competed in the 110 hurdles , long jump and relays . Marcus is a former model, is outgoing and enjoys competition. Marcus is also the son of Larry Washington a former CFL running back who played professional football from 1977-1981. |
